Amina, Djeneba e Zineb, tre adolescenti inseparabili che vivono nella periferia parigina, sono di estrazione sociale diversa: Amina, padre marocchino e madre francese, è benestante, mentre Djeneba e Zineb appartengono a una classe sociale non privilegiata. Un giorno Zineb subisce un’aggressione da parte di Zac, un amico della famiglia, che lei considera come un fratello. Quando le amiche vengono a conoscenza dell’aggressione, decidono di registrare di nascosto un video attirando Zac in una trappola. Mentre Zineb e Djeneba preferirebbero non pubblicarlo, Amina apre un gruppo sui social dal titolo provocatorio “HLM (‘Habitation à Loyer Modéré’) Pussy”, che richiama il gruppo femminista russo “Pussy Riot”. Una volta postato, il video in breve tempo diventa virale, scatenando ogni genere di reazioni, sia positive che negative. Le conseguenze di tale azione sono pesanti per le tre amiche, che tuttavia riusciranno a ritrovare complicità e solidarietà.
Amina, Djeneba and Zineb are three inseparable teenagers who live in the Parisian suburbs and belong to different social backgrounds: Amina -Moroccan father and French mother-, is wealthy, Djeneba and Zineb belong to a less privileged social class. One day Zineb is attacked by Zac, a friend of the family, who she considers like a brother. When the friends find out about the attack, they decide to secretly record a video in which Zac attacks Zineb again. While Zineb and Djeneba would prefer not to publish it, Amina opens a group on social media with the provocative title “HLM (‘Habitation à Loyer Modéré’) Pussy”, which recalls the Russian feminist group “Pussy Riot” and posts the video. In a short time it goes viral, triggering all kinds of reactions, both positive and negative. The consequences of this action are heavy for the three friends who nevertheless manage to rediscover their complicity and solidarity.
