SINOSSI
Storia di una maturazione e di una presa di coscienza: sulla pista di pattinaggio Jane, alle soglie dell’adolescenza, si innamora di una ragazza. Convinta di essere stata scambiata per un maschio, Jane tenta di nascondere il suo nome e la sua vera identità. Ma dopo essere stata malmenata dal fratello della ragazza, Jane si rende conto di piacerle proprio per quello che è.
Eleven-year-old Jane is a Tomboy. So, she likes dressing and behaving like a boy. One day, while she is at the local ice rink with some friends, she sees a nice girl skating, and she shyly tries to flirt with her. She’s amazed and surprised when the girl flirts back! Assuming the girl thinks she’s a boy, Jane tries anyway to prove her boyhood. It’s only when Jane wants to give her new love a gift, but her heavy-handed brother punches her to prevent it, that she realizes the girl liked her, just for her. Softly out and with a new swagger, she walks away and she walks tall. Rink is a short, positive story on growing up and feeling different. It’s about those small moments where making a stand for ourselves opens up a whole new world.
